LeaderShift specializes in providing professional development for current and emerging leaders in healthcare, home and community care, and the public and not-for-profit sectors.
Building on the success of a 3-year pilot project of the Ontario Community Support Association launched in 2018, LeaderShift offers workshops and programs that help leaders expand and deepen their capacity.
We’ve helped 500+ leaders in home and community care become more confident, more collaborative, and more system-oriented than ever before. We significantly moved the needle in 17 key leadership domains. Independent research confirms that LeaderShift GRADS are more confident leaders, are better prepared for collaboration, think more strategically, and take on bigger, more complex challenges in their organizations.
Cross sectoral collaboration was an integral goal of the LeaderShift pilot and the initiative was spearheaded by the following associations:
Ontario Community Support Association
Alliance for Healthier Communities
Canadian Mental Health Association
Addictions and Mental Health Ontario
Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario
LeaderShift is pleased to continue to work collaboratively with all members of Community Health Ontario and the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario.
Just as importantly, we’ve built community, sparking new relationships and partnerships that have endured across the ecosystem. Now, we’re expanding our impact with new programming that addresses the needs of managers, supervisors, and other front-line leaders in collaboration with Capacity Builders, the division of the Ontario Community Support Association that has delivered hundreds of high-impact training programs and helped thousands of professionals develop their skills and competencies and enhance their careers. The new LeaderShift is focused on providing affordable, high-impact professional development opportunities to leaders in health organizations across Ontario, equipping them to meet today’s needs, and build tomorrow’s health system together.
