In January 2018, LeaderShift got three years of funding to help leaders in community and primary health care build their leadership capacity and get collaboration-ready.
Today, thanks to this innovative, cross-sector project, we have 500+ current and emerging leaders in our ecosystem who are more confident, more collaborative, and more system-oriented than ever before.
By providing access to the LEADS Learning Series and other initiatives, including a conference, on-demand webinars, and e-learning opportunities, LeaderShift has significantly moved the needle in the 17 key leadership domains. We’ve also built community, sparking new relationships and partnerships across the ecosystem.
Independent research confirms that LeaderShift grads are more confident leaders, are better prepared for collaboration, think more strategically, and take on bigger, more complex challenges in their organizations.

The vision for LeaderShift was sparked when Community Health Ontario members came together to address common challenges they were facing around leadership and leadership development: health system transformation, an aging workforce, and retaining top talent.
They recognized that transformation of the healthcare sector, in particular, demands that leaders in our ecosystem work together differently, collaborate outside their organizations, and work within and across sectors to amplify their impact. And that It takes a different set of skills to navigate organizations through big changes.
